It's good to be young!

Happy Friday!  Today's post is brought to you by the song "You and I"!  My close friend Andi and I went and saw the fabulous Ms. Ingrid Michaelson in concert last night and I must say wow, it was superb!  She was so much fun to listen to and sing along with and talk about talent, holy buckets.  She's one of my favorite artists out there these days and my go to station on Pandora so needless to say I was a happy camper.  The stress melted away and for a moment or 2 hours, it was just me and the music. :)  Its Halloween weekend so I hope that everyone has a safe and enjoyable time with friends celebrating pumpkins and hot cider and trick or treating oh my!

I've been marked...
Opening act, the Guggenheim Grotto, fabulous!
Singing "You and I" with the band
Two happy campers :D

** Such a Charmer **

I'm sitting in a delightful little cafe in the heart of Edmonds and I'm absolutely smitten.  This adorable little town has now risen to the top of my list of favorite places to spend an afternoon.  Nick (my husband) and I first explored this darling place a couple nights back and we saw so many lovely things that I just had to come back and get to know it better.  The proof is in the pictures, wouldn't you love to be a part of this happy little community?  Not to mention how picturesque would it be to look out your window and see the ferry coming in off the Puget Sound each morning?  Not too shabby.  Ah the joy of discovering exciting new places :)

Bibbidy-Bobbidy-Boo!

It's Tuesday and today I wanted to share with you a fun little photo shoot I put together and enjoyed.  No matter where you are, what you're doing or what resources you have, you can always turn an ordinary situation into a fun and fabulous opportunity for a photo shoot.  In my case, I was sitting in the University of Washington's  Paccar Hall waiting for my wonderful husband to get out of his International Finance class and it hit me, I felt the need to shoot!  So I took what I had, my wedding ring, an ordinary desk chair, a dry erase marker, a simple envelope, a few cords, a mac book pro and my powder compact and went to work.  These are just a few examples of what you can accomplish when you mix creativity with boredom.  I hope you enjoy! ;)

A few of my Favorite things :)

Howdy.  So sorry to have left you hanging on Friday.  I meant to sign on and post pretty things for you to look at and enjoy and wish you a happy weekend but alas I failed.  So instead I'll post a few things today that make me smile and hope that they'll brighten your Monday as well.  My husband says I'm like his little hummingbird, I'm attracted to bright colors and sweat treats. :)  Do you find yourself drawn to anything in particular?  Cheers!

Google It...

I find it fascinating the number of things you can learn from Google.  Today was my day to explore the internets.  I spent the afternoon sipping coffee, defining greek terms, analyzing the book of Colossians and enjoying the company of complete strangers.  All in all I'd say it was a pretty good day.  How have you taken advantage of the world wide web lately?

Tights!  Another one of my Fall favorites :)

It smells like fall...

My favorite season of all, Fall.  Don't you just love the way Fall makes you feel?  I love the distinct smell that Fall brings with it.  It's crisp its clean it's refreshing and somehow its comforting.  It makes you just wanna snuggle up on the couch with a blanket, a good book and a cup of warm cider.  Mmmmm cider.  Another one of my fall favorites. :)  With all the apple orchards around there's gotta be some delicious cider just waiting to be sipped!  What are some of your Fall favorites?

~Home Sweet Home~

You hear quite a few different ideas about the definition of home.  "Home is where the heart is", "Home is where you hang your hat", "Home is where your rump rests" and so on and so forth.  To me, I think home is more about the people than the actual setting or circumstances.  Seattle offers up quite the setting and even though it's beautiful it's not quite home for me....  But! ( Can I just say but?  Oh well, I'm going to.)  God's placed me here for a reason so I'm gonna do my best to hang my hat and rest my rump and enjoy the sights. :)  How do you define home?
